Music Lovers! This is really starting to become an amazing ride. I want you to know that I am going to do my best to bring music to you from every corner of the earth, and if you know any singers in Mars, let me know, I will go and look for them and bring them to the Voice! I am actually in Washington DC right now visiting my sister and getting ready for the Inauguration of the President – Elect Barrack Obama. I forgot how “immeasurably” cold it gets here at this time of year; I started to lose feeling in my fingers and toes.
So, I decided to go to one of the stores in Baltimore to see what sweater I could find. Right before I walked in a young beautiful lady stopped me in the cold with a pink and black college style jacket, asking me if I would like to purchase their gospel CD that they have just released.
Music lovers, all I heard was “gospel CD” and I thought to myself, I get a ground breaking group on the Voice. I stopped and she introduced herself as Aiyanna (Yanna) and that she is a member of a three part harmony gospel group. Now, I listen to gospel music but, I have a hard time getting through any album without skipping a song. Naturally, I was a bit skeptical but in my heart something told me to give it a go.
Aiyanna “Yanna” was gracious enough to tell me a bit about their group “Immeasurable”. The group consists of three young female vocalists, Ronetta “Ronnie” Brooks, Aiyanna “Yanna” Foster and Victoria Coleman. Music lovers, these ladies are from Washington DC, Youngsville, NC and Memphis respectively. We are not talking about 3 kids in the same neighborhood to give you an idea how strong music is, bringing 3 female vocalists together, songwriting and singing and making real music. They have been singing together since 2003 and currently are preparing for a tour in Africa starting in Nairobi, Kenya to Uganda and other cities in Uganda. Here comes the test, I got the car and popped the CD into the radio and GOODNESS!!!
The 3 part harmonies, the alternating leads, everything is beautiful! They took the same vibe that we got from listening to music from The Supremes, Brownstone, SWV, En Vogue, and allowed God to anoint it. They took that anointed sound and gave it us. Who am I to hide it!? I have never listened to a gospel CD and not skip a song till now! I bought their CD (Aiyanna and Ronetta signed my CD for me) and I am going to order more to give to some to my loyal fans. You know what, I am going to play one of their songs from the latest CD titled “Pre-Destined For The World” so you can have a glimpse of what I am enjoying. Oh, just so you know, I did not buy a sweater, I was blessed by God and I am bringing this same blessing to you. Scroll down a bit to see the player. Enjoy!!!

Hmmm, dat’s interesting… three vocalists coming 2gether 4rm different places 2 find a common ground in music. I’ll admit dat I don’t listen 2 gospel music dat much coz I’ve usually been unfortunatly running into boring beats, but Kaycee, I’m officially signing up as ur “loyal fan”, so I hope I get one of their CDs…
Lol at ur inability 2 buy ur sweater… what d love of music can do 2 a man, lol

I am so terrible! I hope you can forgive me! For the record Music Lovers, Ms Mukungu was with me when I met Immeasurable. Yes, she was there standing in the cold Baltimore weather while I was getting my autographs! Oh, what a day! Thanks for your comment sweetie! There is more to come, I promise.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I hadn’t heard of them before but after listening to that music clip you posted I can really see how they would be compared to SWV… of gospel music! Their voices are beautiful and I hope to hear some more from them, maybe some collab’ with some of my favorite gospel musicians, like Fred Hammond or even Kirk Franklin.
