I love India.Arie! I'm a huge fan of hers and I have all three CDs she's released thus far. Her debut CD "Acoustic Soul" is a classic and I'd suggest that every one that truly love music should own it. I'm not as excited about her other two CDs but "Acoustic Soul"? Gosh, how do you top that? She was nominated for 7 Grammys with that CD but she didn't win any and I was so raging mad that I didn't watch the Grammys for over 3 years as a result even though they would "compensate" her with 2 Grammys on a less-deserving sophomore CD "Voyage To India" the very next year. I did not know that she India Arie herself plays guitar, supplemented by strings (instead of synthesizers) and drums (instead of drum machines). In my humble opinion, this is the type of music that feeds the spirit and provides something to share with everyone. Young girls should be encouraged to listen to the message in "Video" and build their self love. India Arie is just as advertised: grooving soul music with an acoustic bent.
